Toronto is known to be the safest city in Canada.
The number of murders per 100.000 residents: 2,6!
Compared to US-Cities.
Philadelphia: 27
or Detroit: 47,1
(I'll skip Detroit for sure!)

Back to the Toronto homicide rate:
"Most of these murders surround the gun culture, the gang culture, drugs, and prostitution or the sex trade," says Staff Insp. Brian Raybould (Toronto Police, homicide unit) to CTV.ca

And the most important sentence:
"If you're not involved in any of those things ... then you don't get killed in Toronto."
