I made it through the rain (seriously, could it rain any more?) and found the little
house I am staying in for a couple of days. I want to have one just like this in Berlin,
it's amazing. The host isn't around, but until now I got everything figured out (besides from
the yz thing, this must be a totallz different mac keyboard. where the "y" usuallz lives
(aaaah, again!) there is the "z". More important: I am superhero-thrilled about everzthing, but completely tired at the same time. I guess, I will shut my eyes for at least 12 hours
and will wake up to sun shining and birds singing (would skip the birds, if forced to choose)

Kinky Longstocking
May I introduce: The Gilofa 2000, support and travel stockings. Well, I hope they
work their magic on me, because my last long distance flight caused some serious
leg swelling. It was ridiculous! It seemed I had lost my ankles, because it was
just my feet merging into my (doubled in size) calves. I have pictures, but I spare
you this. Even my sister (who is a nurse and has seen a lot) said: "That doesn't
look too good". Luckily, my legs were (almost) back to normal the next day.
And though it gives you a good hint of what life at the age of 90 or so must be
like, I would gladly pass on another elephantitis-experience.

Safety first
Toronto is known to be the safest city in Canada.
The number of murders per 100.000 residents: 2,6!
Compared to US-Cities.
Philadelphia: 27
or Detroit: 47,1
(I'll skip Detroit for sure!)
Back to the Toronto homicide rate:
"Most of these murders surround the gun culture, the gang culture, drugs, and prostitution or the sex trade," says Staff Insp. Brian Raybould (Toronto Police, homicide unit) to CTV.ca
And the most important sentence:
"If you're not involved in any of those things ... then you don't get killed in Toronto."

Recent reactions
My Airbnb-host Ricky, which I haven't met yet, but already think he is
amazing, just emailed me details concerning my arrival. And THATS why I
love Canada even more than the US. Even MORE.
"I will actually be gone when you get there...but im gonna leave the back
door open for you. I will have a key on the table for you to use:)
Well, you try this in let's say California, you have three dobermans waiting
for you OR and old lady neighbour hitting you with a stick, while she is calling
the cops or just open the fire herself, when the only thing you want is go to your
room and sleep off the jet lag.
But here are the results of the german vote (randomly selected)
Ju: I don't know if I feel proud or I just want to get you admitted.
Sis: You so have to do this!
N.N: You are WHERE?
My lucky 20 C$
Actually found them in my passport. They must have lived there since 2008, when I've
first been to Canada. (Ontario by the way, but never made it to Toronto. Shame on me)
By the way: The picture in the header is just a place holder, because I don't have
any decent yet and this one has been such a crowd pleaser :)
